Job summary

Coeur Rochester is seeking an Environmental Superintendent for our Rochester operation near Lovelock, NV. This role reports to the Environmental Manager and provides leadership to the environmental department.

The position includes company-supported relocation to Lovelock, NV to work a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule. The successful candidate will oversee compliance with environmental laws, manage reporting to regulators, and lead initiatives in water, waste, air quality, and permitting.

Qualifications

BS, MS, or Technical Degree in environmental, biological, or earth sciences and 7 years of environmental experience within the mining industry or related industry.
Alternatively, 12 years of equivalent environmental management experience.
Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and permit requirements.
Strong leadership qualities: character, teamwork, communication, business sense, supervision experience and vision.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations across mining operations.
Review, finalize and submit environmental reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
Support management of key environmental issues including water and waste management, air quality, and contractor management.
Assist with amendments to the Plan of Operations and NEPA activities, including public information meetings and hearings.
