Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support the Environmental Manager in data collection and reporting, and to operate environmental systems across multiple divisions. You may supervise field staff and handle regulatory coordination to ensure compliance.

The role involves auditing sites, preparing monthly environmental reports, and assisting with project management for construction-related environmental tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collects, reports, and tracks environmental monitoring.
• Supervises field staff on construction/technical issues.
• Conducts site audits and analyzes monthly environmental reports.
• Oversees roll-out of environmental projects and vendor activities.
• Supervises landfill monitoring and gas/leachate systems.
• Ensures compliance through monitoring and reporting.
• Conducts environmental training for staff.
• Assists with project management for construction duties.
• Performs other related duties.
