Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley seeks an Environmental Specialist to join the environment team, delivering environmental improvements across UK projects. You will identify risks, plan specialist inputs, and produce deliverables while coordinating with regulators and client teams.

The role requires understanding of ecology, heritage and other disciplines, with ongoing chartership development, travel to sites, and a collaborative, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Identify environmental risks across the project lifecycle and mitigate impacts.
• Plan and coordinate environmental inputs (heritage, ecology, geomorphology).
• Produce environmental deliverables at milestones (EIA screening, environmental management plans).
• Lead liaison with environmental regulators and communicate with teams and stakeholders.
• Chartered with a relevant professional body or working towards chartership; understand planning in water sector.

Responsibilities

• Identify specific environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle and support mitigation.
• Coordinate environmental inputs to ensure timely completion and standards.
• Produce deliverables at milestones including EIA screening and EMPs.
• Liaise with regulators and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Engage clients on environmental matters and develop strong relationships.
