Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent plus one year of experience in environmental protection, regulation, health, physical/natural sciences, agriculture, or engineering.
• Or six months of experience as an Environmental Specialist I or higher with the State of Florida.
• Or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Class E driver license required.
• Must pass food establishment inspection training and certification within 12 months of appointment.
• Ability to conduct risk-based food safety inspections and explain inspection methodology to trainees.
