An established state facility is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to ensure cleanliness and maintenance within a caring community. Starting Salary: $31,200!
As of January 1, 2025, the new salary range will be $31,200 - $46,991.
The Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeping) position is responsible for a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of people’s bedrooms, bathrooms, classrooms, dayrooms, and other State buildings. Duties may include physically strenuous activities such as moving furniture. Work is performed under close supervision, guided by a daily schedule for general assignments. Work is reviewed through inspections and frequent consultation with supervisory personnel.
Examples of duties performed include:
Work Schedule: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday and holidays as assigned.
This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Murdoch Developmental Center is a 24/7 state residential facility located in Butner, NC, near the Research Triangle area. Murdoch serves individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). It is a caring community where professionals work with people of various ages, cognitive and functional abilities.
