Job summary

Mercyhealth in Janesville, WI, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform thorough cleaning across patient and non-patient areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment. The role requires knowledge of chemicals used for different pathogens, adherence to safety and isolation procedures, and proper use of PPE.

Training will include bed tracking, EPIC entries, and possible Xenex UV cleaning where available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months as EVS Tech 1.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors and showers.
• Perform dusting of TVs and lights, mop floors, clean doors, vents and carpeted areas.
• Adhere to organizational policies, infection prevention standards and safety procedures.
