Job summary

Mercyhealth in Janesville, WI, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform total sanitation and patient room preparation on a second shift with rotations. You will clean rooms, floors, fixtures, and public areas while adhering to infection prevention standards.

Responsibilities include chemical handling, equipment maintenance, bed setup, and supporting special projects as needed. Prior cleaning experience is helpful; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in cleaning in healthcare or similar environment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures and windows.
• Perform dusting and floor care including carpet and hard floors.
• Maintain EVS closet and equipment in neat condition; report safety hazards.
• Follow infection prevention standards and chemical dilution guidelines.
• Move and arrange beds and furniture as required and assist with department projects.
