Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Technician – Environmental Services to maintain a sanitary, safe environment and enhance the appearance of the facility.

The role involves cleaning patient rooms and other areas daily, handling trash and linen changes, stocking supplies, and supporting maintenance tasks. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Ability to clearly and respectfully communicate with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Reading, basic math and writing skills required.
• Knowledge of the correct use of chemicals and equipment, and operating related machinery.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms and other areas daily, including trash removal, changing bed linens, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Stock supplies in patient rooms as necessary.
• Move furniture for cleaning or repairs and set up meeting rooms.
• Assist in cleaning spills or floods as observed or requested.
• Communicate with staff accurately and timely.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education
