Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain a sanitary, safe environment and elevate the facility's appearance. You’ll contribute to a clean and welcoming setting for patients and staff.

The role emphasizes adherence to service standards, effective communication, and daily cleaning tasks across patient rooms and common areas. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with opportunities for development and growth within the Mount Carmel system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to clearly and respectfully communicate with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Reading, basic math and writing skills required.
• Knowledge of chemicals, dilution, supplies and equipment for cleaning and sterilization.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and other areas daily, remove trash, change bed linens, and sanitize surfaces.
• Stock paper items and supplies in patient rooms as needed.
• Move furniture for cleaning or setup of rooms and events.
• Assist in cleaning spills or floods and communicate needs to staff.
