Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is hiring a Technician - Environmental Services to create a sanitary, safe environment and enhance the appearance of the facility. The role requires working 7am-3:30pm with rotating weekends.

You will clean patient rooms and other areas daily, handle trash and linens, stock supplies, maintain equipment, move furniture for cleaning, and assist with spills. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and strong communication skills are important.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
• Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
• Move furniture for repair or cleaning and set up meeting rooms.
• Assist in cleaning of emergency spills/floods that are observed or requested
