Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks an Environmental Services Technician at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. The EVS Tech cleans and disinfects patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to maintain a safe, infection-free environment.

Responsibilities include waste disposal, restocking supplies, maintaining floors and surfaces, and responding to urgent cleaning needs. Ideal candidates have a year of hospital EVS experience and a high school diploma, with good reading and communication

Qualifications

• One year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infections.
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone or radios.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, potentially traveling between facilities independently

• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices

• Maintaina high levelof cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently

Qualifications

• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
