Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment during evening shifts. The EVS Tech will disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas while handling waste and restocking supplies.

Experience in hospital environmental services is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is recommended, and good reading/communication skills are required to coordinate with staff

Qualifications

• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections.
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently.

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX

We are seeking a n Environmental Services Technician , also referred to as a EVS Tech or Hospital Housekeeper . The EVS Tech ensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection. The EVS Tech will handle waste disposal, restock supplies, maintain floors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs.
