Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas according to procedures
• Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams
• Maintain hard floors, carpets and upholstery per procedures
• Assemble, maintain and store equipment and supplies as needed
• Communicate with team members to ensure continuity of services
• Report maintenance and cleaning requirements in the area
• Assist visitors and staff in navigating the hospital
• Work across department sites as needed

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the removal and disposal of linens and waste streams.
• Performs interim and restorative maintenance to hard floor, carpets and upholstery according to procedures.
• Assembles, maintains and stores equipment/supplies that are necessary to complete tasks according to department standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with other members of the team to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Reports general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in work area.
• Assists visitors and employees in navigating through the hospital to reach their destination.
• Fully functioning within one cleaning area.
• May be expected to work across department sites for coverage and business need.
