Job summary

The City of High Point is seeking an Environmental Services Technology Coordinator to oversee technology systems, software, training initiatives, and communications for the Environmental Services Department. You will serve as the Routeware administrator, ensure accurate account management, and drive efficiency through technology and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience administering software systems, providing employee training, or supporting operational technology.
• OR
• High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in technology administration, operations support, customer service software, Routeware (or comparable routing/work order software), or municipal operations.

Responsibilities

• Technology Administration: Serve as the department administrator for Routeware and related Environmental Services software.
• Training: Develop department technology training programs and SOPs; train employees on Routeware, mobile devices, GPS, work order software, customer service software, and city systems.
• Customer Service Operations: Verify customer accounts; review service requests; update customer information; coordinate route changes and service eligibility.
• Work Order Management: Create, assign, monitor, and close work orders; track performance metrics; generate daily reports; maintain service history.
• Communications: Manage two-way radio communications; dispatch information; document issues; coordinate route changes during emergencies.
