Mercyhealth in Janesville, WI seeks an EVS Technician to perform thorough cleaning of patient areas, uphold infection prevention standards, and manage supplies. The role requires CHEST certification, 6 months of EVS experience, and ability to work across departments for special projects.

Strong attention to safety, equipment handling, and timely response to pager alerts are essential. Willing to float across units, including ICU/ED when needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months as EVS Tech 1.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean assigned areas (furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors, showers).
• Perform high and low dusting, mop floors, and vent cleaning.
• Observe infection prevention standards and use proper chemicals.
• Maintain EVS closet, cart, and equipment; report hazards and replenish supplies.
• Hangs cubicles and drapes per policy; coordinate with departments for projects.
• Move furniture and equipment safely; seek help when needed.
• Mix and store chemicals with correct dilution; use PPE as required.
• Respond to bed tracking and EPIC entries; ensure rooms are ready for next patient.
