Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, seeks an Environmental Services Technician to support the Emergency Department. This full-time, day shift role includes rotating weekends with hours 7:00 am–3:30 pm on weekdays. You will maintain a clean, safe environment by cleaning patient rooms and common areas and handling spills and waste disposal.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital housekeeping/ESD experience strongly preferred.
• High School grad or equivalent; 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience can substitute.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment in assigned areas.
• Clean patient rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Respond to spills and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Cross-train in other areas and pursue professional development.

Education

High School Grad or Equivalent

1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience can be considered in lieu of High School education
