Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of Environmental Services experience.
• Three years supervisory experience or six years of related experience.
• Experience in hospital cleaning/supervision including Article 28 facilities.
• Experience managing cleaning vendors and service contracts preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with work-order and operational management systems.
• Experience with Maintenance Connection preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Buildings & Grounds and Waste Management personnel, including staffing, scheduling, attendance, payroll, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
• Oversee daily Environmental Services operations, ensuring high-quality cleaning and window-cleaning services per standards and infection prevention requirements.
• Manage vendor accounts and contracted services, monitor quality and performance, conduct reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain cleaning and window-cleaning specifications; conduct Quality Assurance inspections and drive continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders; respond to service concerns and coordinate resolutions.
• Review vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies, and process payments; support annual operating budget and inventory control.
• Plan staffing and operational coverage to meet changing needs and maintain continuity of services.
• Participate in developing and implementing programs, procedures, and initiatives; coordinate maintenance requests through Maintenance Connection.
• Lead on-call leadership during emergencies and severe weather events, coordinating staff, vendors, and resources.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, customer service, safety, and compliance with requirements.
