Role Description

The Environmental Services Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bronx, NY, responsible for overseeing daily operations of environmental services within the health system. This role supervises environmental services staff, assigns and monitors tasks, and ensures that all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained according to hospital standards, safety regulations, and infection control guidelines. The supervisor coordinates scheduling, trains team members on proper cleaning procedures and use of equipment, and supports performance evaluations and coaching to promote high-quality service. The role includes conducting inspections, addressing service issues in patient care and support areas, and collaborating with nursing, facilities, and other departments to maintain a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment. The Environmental Services Supervisor also assists with inventory management, adherence to environmental compliance policies, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental services within healthcare or a similar setting, with knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, and facility hygiene standards.
