Job summary

BronxCare Health System in Bronx, NY seeks an Environmental Services Supervisor to supervise daily cleaning operations, ensure infection control compliance, and maintain a safe, sanitary campus. Qualifications

• Supervisory skills including team leadership, scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Experience in environmental services within healthcare or similar settings with cleaning protocols and infection control.
• Understanding of environmental compliance and health requirements, including regulations and best practices for safe operations.
• Familiarity with EHS principles, hazard recognition, safe chemical and equipment use, incident reporting.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and safety.
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and patients, visitors, staff.
• Prior hospital or healthcare environment experience preferred; Bronx or urban community experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily environmental services operations across the health system.
• Supervise EVS staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and coach for quality service.
• Train staff on cleaning procedures and equipment use; support evaluations.
• Conduct inspections and resolve service issues in patient care and support areas.
• Coordinate with nursing, facilities, and other departments to maintain safety and sanitation.
