Responsibilities
- Ensure effective infection prevention practices to provide a safe environment.
- Adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Perform quality measurement, monitoring, and improvement initiatives to meet desired outcomes.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and customer service to exceed patient expectations.
- Foster positive relationships and ensure high internal customer satisfaction.
- Drive operational outcomes aligned with site and system scope.
- Oversee staffing, workflow, and throughput for maximum productivity and satisfaction.
- Manage departmental resources to minimize waste and ensure financial accountability.
- Handle human resources duties, including coaching, performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with the organization’s Code of Ethical Conduct and relevant policies and laws.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; 2 years of experience in environmental services preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months, if required by the department.
- Strong management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical and Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for up to 80% of the workday, with capabilities to sit, walk, lift, squat, and bend.
- Occasional pushing/pulling up to 500 lbs. with assistance, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, chemicals, radiation, blood, or bodily fluids, with appropriate protective clothing.
- Operate necessary equipment.
