Position Summary
Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers you the chance to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and includes hands-on and computer-based training focusing on managing your own account, including:
- General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform job assignments for housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions. Operate and teach others how to operate various industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements.
- Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to meet quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations, adhering to applicable standards and policies to ensure quality housekeeping services.
- Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment, and report to management.
- Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including regular site assessments using QCIs.
- Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
- Communication: Effectively relay directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
- Safety: Use protective gear, follow safety and infection control procedures, report equipment needs or malfunctions, and ensure standards are met.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by being courteous, cooperative, and professional.
- Experience: Maintain positive interactions with staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
- Leadership skills post-training, ability to work independently, and safety awareness.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must reside in the service area.
