Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. This approximately 16-week interactive program includes hands-on and computer-based training, focusing on managing your own account, including:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, operating various industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership and guidance to meet quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations, adhering to applicable regulations.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment, and report to management.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including frequent site visits for quality assessment.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate directives from managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, follow safety protocols, report equipment issues, and adhere to infection control policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative.
  • Experience: Engage in positive, tactful interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills to operate independently after training, without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside within the service area.
