Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a 16-week interactive training experience, combining hands-on and computer-based learning, covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn to operate and teach various cleaning and laundry equipment, perform job duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper, and laundry worker.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff support following policies and regulations.
  • Policies & Procedures: Ensure quality standards, safety, inventory, and customer service are met.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, and personnel.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality assurance, and site inspections.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial duties such as payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, and budgeting.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Communication: Convey directives effectively to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, handle chemicals safely, and report issues promptly.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communications.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG courteously and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training, with safety awareness.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds, and work around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside in the service area.
