Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a 16-week interactive learning experience, combining hands-on and computer-based training. The program covers:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Performing and teaching housekeeping, laundry, and equipment operation.
  • Leadership Development: Training in staff support, quality control, and compliance.
  • Policies & Procedures: Ensuring standards, safety, and customer service are met.
  • Reporting: Maintaining and delivering reports on operations and finances.
  • Training & Quality Control: Managing staff training, quality assessments, and documentation.
  • Leadership Skills: Handling payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Conveying directives effectively to staff.
  • Safety: Using PPE, handling cleaning solutions safely, and adhering to infection control policies.
  • Punctuality: Maintaining attendance and timely task completion.
  • Customer Experience: Representing HCSG courteously and professionally.
  • Experience: Engaging positively with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training, with safety awareness.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Residence in the service area.
