Corewell Health seeks an Environmental Services Lead at Ludington Hospital to drive daily operations, ensure quality standards, and provide team guidance. The role emphasizes cross-department collaboration, performance feedback, and delivering high-level service continuity in a hospital setting.

The position includes leading schedules, conducting quality inspections, and coaching staff while maintaining equipment and vehicle readiness for routes.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years of relevant experience public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience Required.
• 1 year of relevant experience Leadership Preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age Required.
• Must have excellent driving record Required.
• LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required.
• CHEST certification - AHE Association for the Healthcare Environment 1 Year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and adjusts work schedules as necessary.
• Coordinates and inspects employee work assignments and completes quality assurance inspections.
• Provides ongoing instruction to Environmental Services employees according to department standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with other members of the team and across departments in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Cleans and maintains equipment used in performance of duties and stores it properly.
• Acts on behalf of the upline assisting in resolving work-related issues, otherwise reporting issues to upline.
• Assumes ownership of various daily operations and initiatives. May be expected to work across department sites for coverage and business need.
• Picks up and delivers various materials, supplies and other items and ensures vehicle is ready for the following route by filling up the gas tank and returning keys and equipment to designated area. Keep vehicles clean, organized and prepared for the next drive to utilize. Advise supervisor of any repairs needed. Ensures timely, safe and accurate deliver and must be able to operate vehicles in all weather and driving conditions and abides by all traffic laws while representing SH in a professional manner.
