Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain all floor surfaces, walls, and upholstered furniture within the facility. The role may include additional environmental services duties as required to support patient care areas.

Applicants should have prior hospital environmental service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. A chauffeur’s license must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Mercy offers robust benefits and a supportive team environment.

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all types of floor surfaces, wall, and upholstered furniture. This position also may require other environmental services duties.

Experience

Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Certification

Gloss Tek.

Experience

Prior hospital environmental service experience.

License

Valid current driver's license; obtain a chauffeur's license within 90 days of employment

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
