Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking a Project Support professional to assist Project Managers with execution, safety planning, waste handling, and documentation in field operations.

You will coordinate with procurement, manage purchase orders, and maintain records while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations across company assets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with project execution and customer service activities.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with various project execution and customer service activities, including scope development, safety planning, waste characterization, waste profiling, transportation coordination, and preparation of project documentation.
• Oversee field operations to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with project requirements, regulatory standards, and approved scopes of work.
• Collaborate with internal procurement teams to obtain vendor quotations, evaluate supplier pricing, and assist in developing project budgets and cost estimates.
• Assist in the creation, issuance, and tracking of purchase orders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Organize and maintain project records, including safety meeting documentation, vendor invoices and receipts, manifests, bills of lading, air monitoring reports, and equipment calibration records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to schedule field activities and collect required documentation such as training certifications, health and safety plans, and equipment or material submittals.
• Develop a strong understanding of company-owned equipment, materials, and operational resources used in field projects.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness and reliability.
• Establish and manage preventative maintenance schedules for division-owned equipment and assets.
• Operate company vehicles as required, including pickup trucks with trailers and box trucks.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of technical systems, operational processes, and project solutions.
• Continuously improve equipment operation and technical capabilities through hands-on training and practical experience.
• Communicate employee performance observations, achievements, and areas for improvement to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Provide operational support by temporarily covering workforce shortages or assisting in high-demand work areas when needed.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support project and operational objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of personnel supervision, operational workflows, equipment management, waste processing, recycling operations, and environmental services.
• Familiarity with receiving procedures, procurement processes, work order management, regulatory licensing requirements, and DOT training standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities effectively.
• Valid driver’s license, where required for the position.
• Additional certifications or licenses, such as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), may be required depending on job responsibilities.
