Summary

The Environmental Services Compliance Manager is responsible for providing environmental management support, analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with Ryder's environmental policies and regulations at Ryder supply chain warehouse locations. This role requires a deep understanding of customer, operational, and regulatory needs that influence warehouse management operations. The manager will develop and implement environmental controls to reduce risks, costs, and enhance compliance. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Environmental Services, this position involves interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Remote Work: This is a remote work-from-home position.

Essential Functions

1. Provide daily compliance support to warehouse facilities, including conducting routine audits and compliance visits.
2. Stay updated with local, state, and federal environmental regulations; develop and implement appropriate environmental controls (policies, processes, forms) to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
3. Update and expand tools and programs for environmental support and awareness, including training on waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, etc.
4. Perform data analysis and reporting, measure waste expenditure, communicate results, and recommend cost-saving measures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in the environmental field within a large corporate setting.
• At least 5 years familiarity with environmental laws impacting the transportation industry.
• Experience with regulatory agencies or consulting firms in environmental areas.

Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000, based on internal equity, market conditions, certifications, etc.
