Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is hiring an Environmental Services Aide to maintain clean, safe patient areas and support hospital operations. The role covers waste, linen, floor care, and light housekeeping across patient care and administrative spaces.

Requirements include floor cleaning experience per healthcare guidelines, floor equipment use, and a CA driver’s license for PM shifts. This full-time position offers benefits under a SEIU agreement and is on-site at Sharp facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with stripping, waxing, buffing floors per AORN and healthcare cleaning standards.
• Experience with floor scrubber/buffing equipment (Surgical Services).
• Current California driver’s license required (PM shift).

Responsibilities

• Collect bio-waste/trash throughout the facility and dispose properly.
• Collect and distribute linen.
• Maintain and clean floors according to schedules and standards.
• Move patient beds, furniture, and equipment as assigned.
• Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties in patient care areas and public spaces.
• Maintain safe environment and infection control practices.
