Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services staff member to perform a variety of duties in and around the hospital, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. The role supports patient satisfaction through high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

The position is full-time with a 40-hour workweek and variable shifts, emphasizing reliable attendance and physical stamina for an 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; must read/write/understand English at least to 8th grade level.
• Strong customer focus and knowledge of sanitation and infection control.
• Familiarity with institutional equipment and supplies; good organizational skills.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Performs a variety of Environmental Services duties in and around the hospital in order to support a pleasant, safe, and workable healthcare environment as well as promote patient satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High School education/General Education Development (GED)required. Must be able to read, write and understand English at an eighth grade level. Must be able to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions. Strong costumer focus skills. Should have knowledge of sanitation and infection control techniques. Good organizational skills. Knowledge of institutional equipment and supplies.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands

• Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50lbs. Performance if job duties require standing, bending, and walking for duration of an 8-hour shift. Assist with moves and set-ups to deliver the service we provide. Performs all other duties as assigned.
