Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to clean and supply patient rooms and common areas across our hospitals. Shifts include first, second, and third, with every other weekend and rotating holidays; full-time and part-time options available.

Eligible for benefits with 20+ hours weekly. Responsibilities include floor care, refuse removal, and general facility cleaning, while maintaining equipment and delivering courteous service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous experience using battery powered floor scrubbers, buffers and burnishers preferred.
• High School/GED is preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions; mechanical aptitude desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply patient rooms, remove soiled linen, and clean nursing stations, lounges and bathrooms.
• Perform floor care: dry/wet mop, buff and burnish floors as needed.
• Remove trash and soiled linen; transport to proper disposal areas.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Observe and report need for repairs of hospital equipment, furniture or fixtures.

Clean and supply patient rooms, removal of soiled linen units, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, common areas, floors, public bathrooms, offices and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives.Floor care: dry and wet mop floors, buff floors with buffing machine, burnish floors with burnishing machineRefuse removal: collect and transport trash, remove soiled linen and red waste (according to Main Line Health standards)Facility cleaning: wash walls, hang cubicle curtains, clean stairwells and perform any other assigned project asProvide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors and co-workers. Experience

• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Previous experience using battery operated floor scrubbers, buffers and burnishers is preferred

Education

• Minimum of a High School/GED is preferred.
• Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude is desirable
