Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at Riddle Hospital in Media, PA to keep patient areas clean and safe. The role involves cleaning patient rooms, lounges, restrooms, nursing stations, and public areas to hospital standards.

Shifts include Full Time 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and a Part Time 20-hour Office Cleaner position. Benefits eligibility applies for 20+ hours per week, including tuition reimbursement up to $6,000 annually and paid time off; parking is free.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience with battery powered floor scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions; mechanical aptitude desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply patient rooms, lounges, bathrooms, and public areas per department procedures.
• Operate floor care equipment and report malfunctions.
• Provide friendly service to patients, visitors and staff; observe safety and report repairs.

Available Positions

• Full Time 1st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm
• Full Time 2nd Shift - 2:30pm-11pm
• Full Time 3rd Shift - 11pm-7:30am
• Part Time 20 hour Office Cleaner- 6:30pm-10:30pm
• Positions 20hrs/week or more are Benefits Eligible
• All positions have an Every other weekend and rotating holidays are requirement

Clean and supply patient rooms, removal of soiled linen units, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, common areas, floors, public bathrooms, offices and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives.Floor care: dry and wet mop floors, buff floors with buffing machine, burnish floors with burnishing machineRefuse removal: collect and transport trash, remove soiled linen and red waste (according to Main Line Health standards)Facility cleaning: wash walls, hang cubicle curtains, clean stairwells and perform any other assigned project asProvide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors and co-workers. Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report any machine malfunctions.Observe and report need for repairs of hospital equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of housekeeping experience is preferred.
