This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing rooms, floors, fixtures, and furnishings in assigned areas following established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning carpets, washing walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, emptying trash, restocking supplies, and making beds. The role may also involve setting up furniture, maintaining housekeeping carts, responding to emergency cleaning needs, and communicating with clinical personnel to prioritize cleaning tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), with at least 1 year of formal housekeeping experience (preferred), especially in hospital or healthcare settings. A driver’s license may be required. Skills needed include basic verbal and written communication, ability to work independently, strong customer service, and basic computer skills.

This full-time, day shift position offers a salary range of $17.82 – $26.71, dependent on various factors such as experience and education. The position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement and may involve travel to offsite locations. Working conditions include physical activities like lifting, reaching, bending, and exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and noisy environments.
