Description: The Program in Membrane Biology (PMB) at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School is currently accepting applications for an open Research Technician position. The candidate will be responsible for a variety of procedures and will work closely with post-docs. The work is varied and includes conducting animal experiments and analyzing data, preparing and imaging tissue samples, maintaining animal colonies, and possibly assisting in writing grants and papers.
Requirements: The candidate should have significant laboratory experience. Training in specific techniques will be offered if necessary. Experience with mice is preferred, but not required. Candidates will be working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment and must therefore have excellent English written and oral communication skills, as well as a capacity for teamwork. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree plus the equivalent of one year of directly related experience is required.
