Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an on-site Environmental Services/Linen position to maintain cleanliness and safety across the hospital facility located at 66 Blossom Street. The role follows a Monday through Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule with per diem employment options.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, surfaces, restrooms and supporting event setups. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of experience with hospital cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years working with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals/healthcare centers.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, wax, stripe, and polish floors.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, windows, and blinds.
  • Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and fixtures and replenish supplies.
  • Picks up debris around the building.
  • Operate high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines.
  • Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for events and activities.
  • Identify and report building maintenance needs.

Job Summary

Essential Functions
  • Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
  • Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
  • Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas.
  • Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures as assigned, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed.
  • Picks up debris around the building.
  • Operates and controls high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines.
  • Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment in a variety of settings for special events and normal hospital activities.
  • Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.

Pay Range
