Job summary

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist IV to lead multi‑media programs at NASA Goddard in Greenbelt, MD. This full‑time role includes regulatory interface, program leadership, and mentoring across technical staff.

You will develop permits and NEPA documents, review compliance plans, and help identify risks and improvements while supporting natural and cultural resource efforts as needed.

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of progressive environmental compliance experience, including task/team leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an environmental discipline; Master’s preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA PIV badge.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER; CHMM/REM or equivalent preferred; PE a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-media programs (e.g., air compliance including Title V, hazardous waste) across sites.
  • Serve as technical interface with regulators and NASA environmental management on assigned matters.
  • Develop and review permits, compliance plans, monitoring reports, and NEPA documentation.
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to junior scientists; assign and review work.
  • Identify compliance risks and drive process efficiencies; recommend corrective actions and program improvements.
