Job summary

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) in Greenbelt, MD, seeks a senior specialist and task lead to manage multi-media programs, interface with regulators, and mentor technical staff.

You will lead major programs such as air compliance and hazardous waste, develop permits and NEPA documents, and drive process improvements. A BS is required; MS preferred; 8–12 years’ experience; NASA clearance and HAZWOPER certs are expected or preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive environmental compliance experience, including task/team leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental discipline; Master’s preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA PIV badge.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER; CHMM, REM, or equivalent preferred; PE a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple media areas or a major program (e.g., full air compliance including Title V, or the hazardous waste program across LQG sites).
• Serve as a technical interface with regulators and NASA environmental management on assigned matters.
• Develop and review complex deliverables — permits, compliance plans, monitoring reports, and NEPA documentation.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior scientists; assign and review work.
• Identify compliance risks and process efficiencies; recommend corrective actions and program improvements.
• Support natural and cultural resource programs (e.g., protected-species monitoring, Section 106 consultations) as assigned.
