Job summary

Atlas is seeking an Environmental Investigation and Remediation Scientist to perform environmental site assessments and prepare technical reports, while coordinating field activities including soil and groundwater work and UST oversight. Travel to project sites is frequent.

You will join a team that supports public and private clients with sustainable environmental solutions, reporting to senior consultants and collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Science Related Discipline required.
• 2-6 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD and GIS preferred.
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental site assessments including soil characterization and sampling, groundwater sampling, and oversight of UST activities.
• Prepare field notes and technical reports (Site Investigation, UST/LUST related reports, work plans).
• Communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to staff and senior consultants.
• Coordinate with vendors for project execution.
• Local travel 25-75% is expected; occasional out-of-state or weekend travel may be required.
