Job summary

Perpetua Resources Idaho, Inc. seeks an Environmental Scientist II/III to lead SPCC and stormwater programs at the Stibnite project. You will perform field inspections, coordinate SWPPP updates, and ensure regulatory reporting with DEQ oversight.

You will supervise technicians, collaborate with engineers and contractors, and maintain documentation for compliance while adapting to a remote camp environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Environmental Management, Geology, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years supporting heavy construction/mining stormwater programs.
• Ability to plan, assign and supervise specific work groups.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA Construction safety practices and MSHA standards.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and company approval to operate vehicles.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel and work in remote camp environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MSG permit and CGP stormwater plans with DEQ oversight.
• Inspect SPCC plan updates and coordinate with project teams.
• Inspect erosion and sediment controls across site and remote facilities.
• Maintain documentation for regulatory reporting and recordkeeping.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure BMPs are followed.
• Review and update SWPPPs for construction sites.
• Assist with emergency spill response and hazardous waste management.
