Job summary

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) seeks an entry-level Environmental Scientist I to support NASA Goddard under supervision. The role involves field sampling, inspections, labeling, and data entry within environmental media areas.

Qualifications include 0–2 years of experience, a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in related fields, and the ability to obtain a NASA PIV badge. HAZWOPER certification and DOT/RCRA awareness training are required.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• High School or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of satellite accumulation areas, central accumulation areas, POL/tank areas.
• Support hazardous waste labeling, accumulation, manifesting, and scheduled waste pickups.
• Perform field sampling (water, stormwater) and collect data for reports.
• Enter compliance data into government systems of record.
