Diné Development Corporation in Southport, NC is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across water, air, waste, and NEPA. You will manage permit submissions and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field, 5+ years of experience, and strong MS Office skills. Travel and background checks are part of the criteria, with a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance disciplines.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting.
• Willingness to travel and spend extended time in the field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, OneDrive and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review construction projects for environmental considerations and initiate NEPA reviews.
• Conduct recurring inspections and provide assistance for audits and inspections.
