Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks an entry-level Environmental Scientist to join the Environmental team in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will support Senior Project Environmental Scientists and Engineers across environmental design and compliance tasks.

The role involves preparing NEPA docs, conducting wetland and stream assessments, and assisting with habitat surveys, with periodic travel as needed. A BS in biology/environmental science is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning or similar field.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time accordingly.
• Willingness to work in challenging outdoor environments, including high temperatures and steep terrain.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• State and federal environmental documentation (including NEPA preparation).
• Socioeconomic analysis (including environmental justice).
• Wetland delineations and stream assessments.
• Threatened and endangered species habitat evaluations and surveys.
• Assist in field work and environmental site investigations as needed.
