Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Environmental group in the Brooklyn NY office. The role involves field work across NYC, soil and groundwater sampling, Phase I inspections, and data-driven reporting.

The candidate will coordinate with engineers, environmental professionals, and regulators, manage deliverables, and contribute to project planning and budgets while upholding QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
• 0-5 years of experience in a related local environmental position.
• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and / or ArcGIS required.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work within the 5-boroughs and NYC metropolitan area.
• Perform soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling.
• Oversee field activities and drilling on construction projects.
• Conduct Phase I inspections and related data collection.
• Prepare deliverables and reports on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders.
