LaBella Associates is seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Environmental group in Patchogue, NY. You will conduct field work across Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley, collect soil, soil vapor, and groundwater samples, and prepare data-driven deliverables.

Collaborating with environmental specialists, engineers, contractors and regulators, you will analyze data, prepare reports, and assist with project planning, execution, and documentation while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in geology, environmental science, or engineering.
• 5 years of experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team oriented with ability to motivate others.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environmental consulting team environment.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplined group of professionals.
• Organized with strong attention to detail.
• Strong client service skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPPER certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work throughout Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley.
• Perform soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling.
• Perform / oversee field activities and drilling on construction projects.
• Collect, record, and organize field data concisely.
• Data presentation, map creation, and report preparation.
• Prepare deliverables on time and within budget.
• Maintain open communication with project team members.
• Support environmental projects to ensure planning, implementation and completion.
• Represent the company professionally and in line with core values.
• Follow QA/QC policies and professional standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Collect and analyze environmental data, prepare reports and communicate outcomes to stakeholders and regulators.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
