LaBella Associates is seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Environmental group in Patchogue, NY. You will conduct field work across Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley, collect soil, soil vapor, and groundwater samples, and prepare data-driven deliverables.

Collaborating with environmental specialists, engineers, contractors and regulators, you will analyze data, prepare reports, and assist with project planning, execution, and documentation while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in geology, environmental science, or engineering.
• 5 years of experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Duties:

• Performing field work throughout Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley
• Performing soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling.
• Performing / overseeing field activities and drilling on construction projects.
• Collecting, recording, and organizing field data in a concise manner.
• Data presentation, map creation, and report preparation.
• Preparing deliverables on time and within budget.
• Maintaining open communication with project team members.
• Supporting various environmental projects to ensure their successful planning, implementation, and completion.
• Representing the company in a professional manner and in line with firm's core values.
• Conducting work to professional standards and following firm's QA/QC policy.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental specialists, engineers, contractors, and government agencies, to achieve project objectives.
• Collecting and analyzing environmental data, preparing reports, and communicating project progress, outcomes, and recommendations to stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation, including environmental assessments, permits, reports, and correspondence, and ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements.

• B.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
