Job summary

Certerra Southwest is seeking an Environmental Scientist for our Phoenix/Tempe office. The role requires state or federal certifications for asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, or environmental management, with duties spanning field and office work across the southwestern United States.

Responsibilities include groundwater monitoring, soil and vapor sampling, and supporting environmental system design and reporting.

Qualifications

• State or Federal level certifications for asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, or environmental management.
• BS in Engineering or Physical Science; willingness to travel and work nights/weekends/extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Support field projects including groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, vapor sampling, and remediation system operations/maintenance.
• Assist planning and design of environmental systems to mitigate pollutant discharge.
• Monitor, record, and report environmental field measurements.
• Conduct field investigations to review compliance with permits, regulations, and specifications.
