Job summary

Certerra Southwest seeks a Group Leader for Environmental Services in Tucson, AZ. You will manage projects, mentor staff, and expand business activity across asbestos, lead-based paint, IAQ, industrial hygiene, and related disciplines.

Ideal candidates hold a science degree and 5+ years in environmental consulting, with regulatory knowledge and strong communication. This full-time role is based in Tucson and reports to the Environmental Services Group department.

Qualifications

• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training with current updates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional registration as an engineer, geologist, CIH, or CSP preferred.
• AHERA accreditations for asbestos-related roles.
• EPA or State certifications for lead-based paint risk assessor.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental, building sciences and industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel and projects; direct field activities and data interpretation.
• Review technical reports for accuracy and compliance with scopes and specifications.
• Mentor staff on project tasks and competencies; support career development.
• Manage client relationships and participate in business development and proposal preparation.
