Job summary

Certerra Southwest, LLC is seeking an Environmental Scientist for our Phoenix/Tempe office to support field and office projects across the SW. Travel to sites in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada will be required; candidate must have state or federal certifications for asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, or environmental management.

The role involves monitoring environmental systems, collecting samples, preparing reports, and working with senior staff to ensure compliance

Qualifications

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPPER Training.
Experience with MS Office, CADD, Salesforce and/or Deltek Advantage.
Must have State or Federal level certifications for asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, or environmental management.
BS in Engineering or Physical Science.

Responsibilities

Support field projects including groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, vapor sampling, and remediation systems operations.
Assist in planning and design of environmental systems to reduce pollutant discharge.
Monitor, record, and report environmental field data.
Conduct inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and permit requirements.
Collect soil samples and prepare lithologic information for testing.
Install groundwater and vapor sampling ports as specified.
Log data, prepare spreadsheets, and support exposure assessments and modelling.
Prepare detailed report narratives summarizing field activities and results.
