Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Scientist Chemist to join our team in Pittsburgh. This is a full-time, in-office role focusing on data validation for environmental investigations, including both organic and inorganic analyses.

US citizenship is required due to client projects, with priority given to local candidates. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, have familiarity with Windows applications, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry required.
• One year experience in an analytical laboratory preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows applications (Word, Excel, Access).
• Knowledge of EPA Functional guidelines for data validation is a plus.
• Basic understanding of EPA RI/FS processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as project chemist for environmental investigations and advise on chemistry methods.
• Perform data validation and evaluation per EPA guidelines.
• Prepare quality assurance project plans and data quality assessment reports.
• Assist Data Validation Group Manager in tracking data validation deliverables.
• Input and organize analytical and field data and qualifiers in databases.
• Assist in the organization and management of project databases for statistical analyses.
