Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. seeks an Environmental Scientist/Consultant to conduct field sampling (soil, groundwater, vapor) and support Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, data interpretation, and technical reporting in a collaborative, employee-owned firm.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or a related field with 1–4+ years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a team on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Field sampling of soil, groundwater, and vapor per project requirements and regulations.
• Ability to analyze field data, lab results, and historical information for technical reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling as per project requirements and regulatory guidelines;
• Conduct environmental due diligence assessments including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments;
• Analyze and interpret field data, laboratory results, and historical information to support the preparation of technical reports;
• Prepare accurate and concise technical reports adhering to established guidelines; and
• Stay up to date with current regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field;
• 1-4+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously; and
• Professional certifications a plus.

Higher compensation than the amount listed below may be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $85,000 USD
